At Amsterdam UMC I coordinate and provide statistical consultancy for medical researchers at the hospital.
While working at Leiden University, I taught various courses in mathematics and statistics in the interfaculty master programme Statistics & Data Science and in the Psychology master programme. I initiated and designed a course on Data Visualization for students in statistics, which included discussions on the principles of effective data visualizations based on research in perception of graphs and graph reading, motivating students to think more carefully on how to communicate their statistical results.
Besides lecturing, I was an active member in the Statistics & Data Science master programme and performed various tasks like chair of the Board of Examiners, study advisor, and member of the Admissions Committee.
